In European medicines, burnet is used in such a way that the medicine prevents hemorrhage. The name sanguisorba is Latin for sanguis or ‘blood’ and is related to sorbere, meaning to soak up. This reflects the character of the herb too. The leaves can be used freshly mashed to help stop bleeding and a leaf tea will stop diarrhoea. Salad Burnet makes cooling floral water that will revive and refresh your skin in hot or dry weather. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFresh and cooling with a nutty cucumber flavour.
