The branches were dropping from the weight of the fruit. It produces hundreds of three-sided peppers which resemble a Bishop’s Crown. Size-wise the pods are 3-4 cm long and 5-7 cm wide and mature from light green to orange, to red. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey are excellent stuffed with cheese and grilled, in salads, on top of cheese or just as a healthy snack. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll in all, it is one of the best-producing chillies, it looks stunning and the pods taste sweet and fruity. We can only recommend growing this great chilli – a must for all home gardeners. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMature chilli reach between 5,000 and 30,000 Scoville. Their pods, in the shape of a Catholic bishop’s cap, are rather mild than medium-hot. How much the pods burn depends on the plant, the location and the growing conditions. Compared to Jalapeños, Bishops Crown Chillies usually burn much less in the mouth. But be careful: this can vary from fruit to fruit. In our opinion, the degree of sharpness is 3 - 5. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition to the \u003cstrong\u003epleasant spiciness, the sweet and fruity taste is convincing. A sour paprika aroma makes Bishops Crown Chili perfect for seasoning vegetables and salads.\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCare \u0026amp; Growing Instructions:\u003c\/strong\u003e Germination temperature is between \u003cstrong\u003e20°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-21 days)\u003c\/strong\u003e; it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
