Barley Grain Grass Sprout Seeds (NOT to TAS)

Hordeum vulgare
Selection from 200g to 4kg
1g = 30 seeds; WA Customers: Maximum 10kg permitted

Barley grass is amongst the earliest grown sweetgrass globally, with its history traced even before 5000 BC. Its nutrient-dense profile and multidimensional benefits were just a few reasons for its popularity amongst ancient civilisations.

Recently it has been gaining a lot of popularity around the globe for its ability to enhance health. Barley grass can be consumed as a juice extracted from cereal grass sprouts or in the form of green powder by spray drying the grass.

Barley Grain Grass is packed with essential vitamins and nutrients that keep your mind and body healthy and vibrant. Taking a "shot" of juiced Barley Grain Grass as part of your morning breakfast routine is considered a healthy way to start the day, but it can get costly. If you want to make Barley Grain Grass a regular part of your diet, try growing it yourself at home instead of buying it already juiced.

How to grow Barley Grain Grass Seeds

Soak Barley Grain Seeds in cool water for 6-12 hours.

Drain off the soak water. Do not ever soak again.

Rinse and Drain with cool water every 8-12 hours until your seeds have the tiniest root showing.

Plant on a thoroughly moistened medium.

Cover your crop with another tray or plate to keep light out and moisture in.

Keep your medium moist by watering lightly as needed. Don't drench it!

When your grass is 4-6 cm tall, remove the cover and move your crop to a well-lit location.

Harvest when your Grass is 10-30cm tall by cutting just above the medium with scissors or a sharp knife.

NOTE: Natural caution before trying barley grass for the first time is always advisable, particularly when the sensitivity is not known. During special conditions such as pregnancy and lactation, it is recommended to consult an expert to understand the appropriate dosage and effects of barley grass to avoid any complications.

Due to quarantine restrictions in WA, there is a 10kg seeds limit per variety. WA orders require additional handling time. Please remain within an approved limit when ordering seeds. We review every WA order before dispatch and remove (or reduce) excess seed quantity from your order to comply with WA biosecurity regulations. Please check further information here

Tasmania Customers: We can ship seeds to Tasmania. Please do not include seed line items labeled 'NOT to TAS'. Please note that the maximum allowable limit per permitted seed line item is 1kg per order.
