Memorial seed packets for funerals and services

Memorial seed packets carry a name, the dates and a line of your choosing on a plain white 90 x 145 mm envelope, with everlasting daisy or forget-me-not seed inside. The minimum is 50 packets; up to 250 are dispatched within two business days of your approval, and express post is available except to Western Australia.

  • Everlasting daisy is an Australian native that keeps its colour when dried; forget-me-not comes back every year on its own.
  • Flanders poppy for Remembrance Day and Anzac Day services, and lavender for sympathy gifts.
  • The name, the dates and every line are yours to change, and you see the front and back at full size before you pay.
  • Funeral homes and vet practices can reorder the same design from their account.

Questions

Which seeds suit a funeral or memorial?

Everlasting daisy is our suggestion: an Australian native whose papery flowers keep their colour when dried. Forget-me-not and English lavender are the alternatives, and Flanders poppy is the seed for Remembrance Day and Anzac Day.

Why forget-me-nots?

The name says what the packet is for, and the plant comes back every year on its own. It self-seeds freely, so sow it in a garden bed rather than near bushland or creeks. Forget-me-not is a Premium seed, 50 cents a packet more.

Can we choose sunflowers for a memorial?

Yes. Sunflower Sunbird is on the menu and grows 2 to 2.5 metres in one summer, the bright choice for a celebration of life. For a quieter tribute, our memorial presets use everlasting daisy and forget-me-not.

How many packets should we order for a funeral?

One for each person you expect: 80 packets in colour cost $279.20. Up to 250 packets are dispatched within two business days of your approval, and express post is available except to Western Australia.

What can we write on a memorial packet?

The name, the dates and one line of your own, or no line at all. The memorial preset offers three headlines, such as 'In loving memory of' followed by the name, and three short messages, and the message can be left blank.

Are seed packets suitable as a funeral thank-you?

Yes. Families hand them out at the service or tuck them into thank-you cards, and people plant them later. The plain white envelope and the Quiet Memorial design keep it simple: an italic name, one small drawing and a lot of white space.

Before you order

The messages for funerals and memorials were written for the occasion: no euphemisms and nothing you would not read aloud. A blank message is always an option, and you can change every word before you approve the proof.

Production times, where seed can be sent, your artwork rights and the proof rule are set out in the fine print.
