See Your Shipping Cost Before You Pay

Yes, you can see your exact postage before you pay. You do not need to enter any card details, and you do not need to create an account. All it takes is your suburb, state and postcode.

We know some customers worry that a price only appears at the very end. It does not. Here is exactly where to look, with real screenshots from our checkout.

The short version: add seeds to your cart, then either use Estimate shipping in the cart, or start checkout and enter your suburb and postcode. Your shipping options and prices appear straight away, above the payment section. Nothing is charged until you choose an option and press Pay.

Postage is worked out from where it is going and how heavy it is — so the destination (state + postcode) and the weight of the seeds in your cart are all that is needed to calculate it. Your street address is only used later to actually deliver the parcel, not to work out the price.

Two easy ways to check

1. In your cart – “Estimate shipping”

  1. Add your seeds to the cart and open the Cart page.
  2. Find the Estimate shipping calculator.
  3. Choose Australia, pick your state, and type your postcode.
  4. The available services and prices appear right there – before you go any further.

2. At checkout – before the payment step

  1. Press Check out.
  2. Enter your email, then your name, suburb, state and postcode.
  3. The Shipping method list appears with every option and its price.
  4. The Payment section sits below that – you only reach it after you have already seen the postage, and nothing is charged until you press Pay now.

How the price is worked out

Two things set the price: the weight of your order and the destination. As a guide, standard untracked letter post starts at $3.95, tracked parcels are $10.95, and Express starts at $16. WA and TAS add a small government quarantine/biosecurity fee. The exact options for your cart are always shown before payment, and the full rate card is on our Shipping Information page.

Free shipping over $40. Orders of $40 or more (after discounts) that contain only standard seed packets ship free as an untracked letter. See the Shipping Information page for the details.
No hidden costs, ever. The price you see at checkout is the final price. We never add anything after you have paid, and if separate orders are combined into one parcel you are only charged the single highest shipping tier.
