Chinese Cabbage - Kyoto - 70 Seeds
This cabbage is a classic Japanese heirloom with a unique barrel-shaped head and comes in at 2.5-3kg upon maturity! Mildly flavoured with incredible storage capabilities, it thrives best under cool temperatures for its main growing season.
Versatile Chinese cabbage (also known as baechu, baguio, bai cai, cai bac thao and more) can be used to create a variety of delicious dishes such as sukiyaki, yosenabe ohitashi stir-fries and salads. Not only that but it is also ideal for pickling – if you're feeling adventurous, why not try making some Korean kim chee?

Sow in early spring, late summer, and autumn at 5mm deep. Space apart 30cm. Emerge in 7-10 days at 10-24°C. Harvest in 80 days.

Wear gloves and thoroughly wash your skin with water & soap after touching the seeds. Treated seeds do not affect your crops or harm insects such as bees. Fungicide seed treatment may be an AQIS (Biosecurity, Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, Government of Australia) requirement for certain seed varieties. Treated seeds may be dyed a distinct colour. Read the label on the seed packet before usage.
