A traditional variety producing small 3-4 main heads projected well above the foliage followed by large yields of side shoot spears nonuniform in maturity resulting in a long harvest period.
Romans called "cabbage flower" and in England as "Italian Asparagus" from the early 1700s. High vitamin C and protein. Likes soil rich and well-watered.
Sowing instructions: Sowing time is Autumn to early Spring in hot climates. Avoid hot times of the year. Prefer sunny position, sow 5mm deep, emerge 7-14 days, best germination at less than 22 °C soil temperature. Harvest approx. 9 weeks from transplanting. Frost hardy.
