Chilli Zimbabwe Birds Eye / Piri Piri - 10 Seeds
These chillis are the king of all birds eye chilli. Also sometimes known as Piri Piri or Pili Pili, the African Bird's Eye is a small chile, growing to only about 1 inch, but they pack a lot of punch. They mature to red or purple, and have a tapered shape, with a blunt point. he African Bird's Eye is commonly used in soups, stews and hot sauces. It is the main ingredient in Peri-Peri Sauce.
An African Devil (Zimbabwe Birds Eye) Chilli can reach up to 200,000 SHU (Jalapeno reference SHU 5,000). They are very easy to grow & easy to maintain. Except for winter, they will produce chillies all the year-round. Best time to sow seeds after frost. Seeds need min 25° C to germinate. Soak the seeds in water for a few hours before planting and sow them in a sunny, well-drained position. Germinates between 15-25 days. If this plant survives frost then it will last 3-4 years & will produce chillies continuously.
