Pea Massey Gem is very popular variety for professional farmers or home gardeners. It is the most widely used commercial shelling pea variety for the fresh market in Australia.
This quick maturing dwarf plants grow to 60-75 cm tall and produce large pods containing 8 peas. Massey Gem peas tastes sweet and suitable for freezing. They are hardy, disease resistant and suited to cold areas.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in late Summer to Autumn, Need minimum 13-15°C to germinate. Soak in water for few hours, Sow 20mm deep, 40cm apart. Emerge in 10-14 days. Grow indoor during extreme weather & transplant when mature. Harvest in approx. 70-80 days
