Pine-scented leaves have a bitter resinous taste used to flavour soups and stews. Used fresh or dried.
Most people know rosemary as a culinary herb, especially in Italian cuisine. However, this herb also has a history of medicinal use, including being reputed to improve memory. Of course, many gardeners grow Rosemary ornamentally or just for the lovely fragrance it imparts to the garden.
A perennial that can reach up to 6 feet by the 2nd or 3rd year.
Sow heavily because Rosemary has a poor germination rate. Some seeds will germinate after 3 months of sowing. Stratification or soaking for 2 days at 40 degrees Celsius will enhance germination.
