Hollyhock Chaters Double Mixed -20 Seeds (Alcea Rosea)
Architectural spires of ruffled, double blooms tower over summer borders adding structure and a riot of colour. These heirloom, cottage garden perennials are well loved for their saucer shaped blooms which attract butterflies and make a dramatic cut flower for a vase indoors. The edible flowers of Alcea rosea 'Chater's Doubles' can even be added to salads for an attractive, tasty treat. Height: 200cm (79"). Spread: 60cm (24").
A perfect choice for cottage gardens, the Hollyhock can be seen on farms and in many home gardens. It is popularly used as a backdrop plant and can be planted along fences as well.
These plants are known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees, honeybees and hummingbirds as well.
Sow in Spring 10mm deep in seed tray, cover with cling wrap with few holes. Need 18-22°C. Water with spray bottle, Germinates in 2-3 weeks. 250cm high perennial plant
