PEA Telephone (Alderman) (Shelling Type Pea) – 15 Heirloom Seeds (NOT to TAS)
Pea Telephone is very popular variety. Pea Telephone flowers over a wide period of time, allowing for multiple pickings. Great for the home gardener. Pods contain 6 to 8 peas. It can climb up-to 2m on a trellis, they bear big, easy to see & pick pods. It’s late maturing, handles heat very well and produce huge, sweet, buttery tasting peas.
Also known as Alderman, exhibition standard, also suitable for dried peas.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in late Summer to Autumn, Need minimum 13-15°C to germinate. Soak in water for few hours, Sow 20mm deep, 40cm apart. Emerge in 10-14 days. Grow indoor during extreme weather & transplant when mature. Harvest in approx. 70-80 days
